Facebook goes through a period of technological innovation that grows exponentially. It not only advances in tools of virtual reality and smart glasses, but immerses himself in the world of cryptocurrencies to present Diem, the digital asset that will accompany the Novi wallet.

This coin had many inconveniences to go to the market. It even changed its name in the creation process, as at one point it was advertised as “Libra“Now, the company Mark Zuckerberg has everything ready to take the leap and join the crypt world.

Mark Zuckerberg and the world of cryptocurrencies

While the company Facebook was not in charge of developing this coin, it has remained one of the main partners of the creators.

Diem will work completely apart from the social network and will be presented as a stablecoin, that is, it will have a value similar to that of the fiat currency of each country where it operates.

For its part, New Yes, it is a project entirely created by Facebook and it is a digital wallet developed by David Marcus, former director of PayPal hired by Zuckerberg. Although he assured that this product is ready to go on the market, the delays in the launch seem to be linked to the fact that they want to accompany it with the presentation of Diem.

The NFTs will be compatible with Novi

The wallet will not only serve to store these types of digital assets. The developers announced that they would accompany the wave of NFT (Non-fungible tokens) and will save these parts. “When you have a good crypto wallet, like Novi, you also have to think about how to help consumers who use NFTs,” explained David Marcus.

They have not yet released how the system will work, but they still have a few months to finalize details. On the part of Diem developers they assured that could go on the market by the end of this year or early 2022, so the virtual wallet will have until that date to prepare the NFT hosting.
