Elon Musk paid a surprise visit to Richard Branson the day he flew into space. This is what he told her.

On July 11, 2022 Richard Bransonbillionaire and owner of Virgin Galactictraveled into space aboard one of his company’s ships.

But before leaving, at dawn, he received an unexpected visitor. According to what Branson told Sunday Times The businessman found Elon Musk barefoot in the kitchen of one of his houses drinking a cup of coffee.

“I think it was 2:30 am,” Branson explained. “I woke up two hours ahead of schedule and jumped out of bed, then realized I had come at the wrong time, but by then I was wide awake.”

Eager to be a part of Virgin Galactic’s first mission into space (Branson’s role was to test the experience firsthand to offer it to other clients in the future) the 72-year-old entrepreneur went to a house he owns near the company’s launch pad, where he found Elon Musk accompanied by his two-year-old son.

According to BransonMusk was there to surprise him and wish you good luck on the mission.

“Basically, it’s a nocturnal animal. It doesn’t really sleep at night and it sleeps during the day. We made ourselves a cup of tea and sat outside under the stars and caught up.”

Elon later accompanied Branson to the launch pad to congratulate him and wish him a beautiful flight.

During the interview with Sunday Times Branson was full of praise for Musk, describing him as the “Henry Ford for his generation.”

Virgin Galactic’s first mission took Branson and three company employees into space aboard the VSS Unity after 17 years of work. In a video after landing, Branson was elated, explaining: “I’ve dreamed of this moment since I was a kid, and honestly nothing could prepare you for the sight of Earth from space.”

The roll of Virgin Galactic is to democratize space travel by offering 400 flights each year. The first commercial flight is scheduled for the spring of this year.
