Elon Musk clarifies Tesla has not sold any Bitcoin For Daily EditorBitcoin

The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, assured by Twitter that has not sold a single Bitcoin of the company’s holdings.

At dawn today, and in response to a tweet, the CEO of Tesla Elon Musk wrote in Twitter that your company has not sold a single Bitcoin

This was a response the billionaire made to a comment made by @BitcoinArchive, in which he criticizes:

Bitcoin is down 20% since @ElonMusk started posting. And you wonder why some people are angry?

It is worth remembering that Bitcoin fell in price on May 12, after Elon Musk announced (also for Twitter) what Tesla I would stop accepting Bitcoin as a means of payment for the carbon emissions that mining implies. After that, he was highly criticized by different crypto evangelists and investors.

The owner of the Dallas mavericks, Mark Cuban, said yes he would continue to accept Bitcoin, since it was much less polluting than gold or fiat money. Also MicroStrategy indicated that it would keep buying BTC (and it did).

Although the price of Bitcoin It is still low (it must be remembered that on April 14 it exceeded USD $ 64,000 and today it is around USD $ 45,000), when Musk tweeted this morning, he achieved a price increase from USD $ 42.00 to 44,000 in less than 15 minutes. Responses to Musk

Of course, the critic of Bitcoin and gold lover, Peter Schift, took advantage of Musk’s tweet to continue adding fuel to the fire. He said today:

Clarification, Tesla hasn’t sold any #Bitcoin YET. That’s even more bearish as it means that Bitcoin sold a lot without Tesla actually selling anything. Imagine what will happen to the price when Tesla finally sells!

Faced with that response, the influencer @KEEMSTARS, with more than 2 million followers, jokingly tweeted:

Peter, I’m going to buy more gold.

Elon, I’m going to buy more doge.

Ronald McDonald, I’m going to treat myself to a Mc.Flurry.

For his part, Willy Woo, a crypto analyst, made a severe criticism of Musk that the damage to the market had already been done:

“Damage already done. The market was already weak and tentatively recovering when its uninvestigated energy FUD came out. There is a lot that the market can absorb ”.
