Bill Gates warned about the next threat that can put the world “in check”

The creator of Microsoft, Bill Gateshad already made predictions about the biological dangers that humanity would have to face. One of them was the emergence of a pandemic. In the year 2020, this “prophecy” materialized and the world was plunged into a health emergency that has already claimed just over 5 million victims.

Two years later, the tycoon revealed an upcoming threat could endanger the existence of the human race. Gates called on the world’s governments to invest billions in security against possible biological attacks perpetrated by terroristscategorizing them as a new risk.

“What if a bioterrorist brought smallpox to 10 airports? Do you know how the world would respond to that? There are epidemics caused naturally and epidemics caused by bioterrorism that even could be much worse than what we experience today”, warned the tycoon in conversation with Policy Exchange

The fourth richest man in the world emphasized the need to initiate joint work between the countries called powers to mass disease prevention. Along with this, he insisted that this cooperative work could promote scientific findings for disease eradication.

“The good thing is that much of the research and development that we need to do to be prepared for the next pandemic are things like making vaccines cheap, having big factories, eradicating the flu, getting rid of the common cold, making vaccines just a patch”, he explained.

And he limited: “Things that will be incredibly beneficial even in years when we do not have pandemics.” Even so, The tycoon made it clear that the simplification of treatments against pathologies based on technological advances can also be a “double-edged sword”.

The latter is explained insofar as and insofar as the best in the field of technology can also be used by those who adhere to terrorism, allowing them even to go from creating a biological threat to something purely microscopic and difficult to detect and/or combat.
