Channing Tatum, famous for starring in the Magic Mike saga, returns after almost six years out of the spotlight and brings good news to the world of cinema.
The actor is quite a celebrity in Hollywood and just when he was at the peak of popularity, he did something unheard of for any artist: he stopped his career and “disappeared”, however, now he has returned for the premiere of the third part of Magic Mike and to announce what could be the next remake that could see the light again.
In interview for Vanity Fair, Tatum revealed that his production company Free Association has the rights to the famous movie Ghost, so they would be in talks to make a new version, where Channing would play the role of Patrick Swayze.
“We actually have the rights, yes we do have the rights to Ghost, but we’re going to do something different. I think it needs to change a bit and have our label.” said the actor.
It should be remembered that Ghost: The Shadow of Love was directed by Jerry Zucker and starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg, an actress who ended up winning an Oscar for her performance.
In addition, the tape was also nominated for Best Picture, but in the end it took the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
Due to its great success, the film became the most watched of 1990 and earned approximately 505 million dollars worldwide at the box office.
Magic Mike’s Last Dance
From the premiere of his first film, Magic Mike was a great success worldwide to the point that it became a cultural phenomenon, and ended up placing Tatum at the level of a Hollywood star like Brad Pitt or Ryan Reynolds.
Now the actor also returns for the premiere of his third part: The last dance of Magic Mike (Magic Mike’s Last Dance).
The film will be released on February 10 and in it we will also be able to enjoy the participation of the Mexican Salma Hayek with whom she made a very good dumbbell on stage.
