Trailer of Dead for a Dollar, a western directed by Walter Hill with Willem Dafoe and Christoph Waltz – The things that make us happy

I’m here today on a demand of honor. Walter Hill premieres a western, dead for a dollar and I at least want to dedicate a few lines to this great director who recently turned 80 years old.

And who is Walter Hill?

As soon as you like cinema, you should know it very well. Director with clear influences from the cinema of sam peckinpahHill debuts with The fighterof charles bronson Y James Coburn. A great film that opens doors for you. From then on she will make great productions that have remained in history such as The Warriors, The prey, Outlaws of Legend, Streets of Fire, Limit: 48 hours, Crossroad, Danko, red heat, The protectors either The last man.

Walter Hill’s career has been diluted the more years he has been serving. His last film to date is in fact a grotesque starring Michelle Rodriguez in which I barely saw its first quarter of an hour, which is why I am very much afraid of the quality of the western that brings us here.

Dead for a Dollar.

Undoubtedly the great claim of this film that I doubt will reach the cinema in Spain are its two main actors, Willem Dafoe and Christoph Waltz, there is nothing. The first comes from making a few films in the last year as the card counter, The French Chronicle (from the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun), the alley of lost souls or Spider-Man: No Way Home. and more recently north man.

Waltz, for his part, is lavishing himself less and his most prominent appearance was in No Time to Die.

Dead for a Dollar focuses on the relationship between Max Borlund ( Christopher Waltz ) and Joe Cribbens ( Willem Dafoe ), who can only be in the same room without trying to kill each other.

Filmaffinity’s synopsis tells us the following:

Texas, 1892. Deserted soldier Elijah Jones appears to have kidnapped and held Rachel Price, an elegant woman from a good family, in Mexico. Her husband hires legendary bounty hunter Max Borland to bring her back to Texas. At the same time, dangerous gunslinger Joe Cribbens is released from prison seeking revenge against those who sent him behind bars, one of whom was Max.

Dead For a Dollar is directed by two-time Emmy winner Walter Hill. Next week on display Dead For a Dollar at the 79th Venice Film Festival, and Hill will be honored with the Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker Award. The award is given to personalities who have made one or more particularly original contributions to the film industry.

Surely this is not a good movie but it is the new one by Walter Hill and two colossi appear as Waltz and Dafoe. It will have to be seen.

Greetings and be happy.

We want to say thanks to the writer of this write-up for this remarkable material
