titanic (1997)
titanic (1997) is still one of the most famous works. James Cameron’s film is set in 1912 during the sinking of the Titanic, the most modern ship built at the beginning of the 20th century that promised to cross the Atlantic Ocean. The film focuses on the love story of Rose, a bourgeois woman played by Kate Winslet, and Jack, the poor artist played by Leonardo DiCaprio. The couple fall in love aboard the ship departing from Southampton bound for New York. But on the fourth day, the liner struck an iceberg and sank.
Among all differences that exist between social classes during the film, it is in the part of the shipwreck that they are most noticeable. The wealthiest were the first to be saved, while the less fortunate were left to their fate. So, James Cameron criticizes the differences between social classes. For his prodigious work, the director allowed titanic to win 11 Oscars and be one of the biggest box office hits of all time.
Stop me if you can (2002)
Leonardo DiCaprio reunites with Tom Hanks and Christopher Walken in the cast of Stop me if you can (2002) by Steven Spielberg. In the film, the role of Frank Abagnale Junior is played by Leonardo DiCaprio. After his parents’ divorce, Frank runs away and begins a new life as a co-pilot, despite never finishing high school.

Shutter Island (2010)
Shutter Island (2010) is the fourth collaboration between Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprioAfter Gangs of New York (2002), Airman (2004) and Infiltrators (2006). This thriller takes place in 1954 when Marshal Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his teammate Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo) are sent to Shutter Island to investigate a disappearance from a mental hospital.
