Tom Hardy and his symbiote return in ‘Venom 3’: cast and release date

sony pictures owns the rights to adapt spider-manand the fact that it is still part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (sponsored by Disney) illustrates one of Hollywood’s craziest quips. Sony even threatened to remove Tom Holland of the MCU after Spider-Man: Far From Home; this did not happen, but what did major was to start building his own cinematic universe, made up of supporting characters from Spider-Man.

The reason was the surprising box office success of venomstarring Tom Hardy. After her they have come Venom: There Will Be Carnage (with a claim to introduce Eddie Brock in the MCU that came to nothing but, equally, a good collection) and Morbius. Morbius It was, in the end, a failure, and it is inevitable to observe with this precedent in mind the proximity of the next installments of the Venomverse: Kraven the Hunter, Madame Web or the movie The deadwith Bad Bunny.

The same does not happen with the inevitable third installment of venomwhich right now happens to be one of Sony’s priority releases, and has been materializing in recent months.

‘Venom 3’ cast and crew

The first two films of venom were led by Ruben Fleischer and Andy Serkis; in the third there will be a relay again, and this will come at the hands of Kelly Marcel. Marcel is by no means an unknown presence in the saga, as he has had writing duties since the first film and, along with his great friend Hardy, co-wrote the script for Venom: There Will Be Carnage. Marcel and Hardy will write together again to Venom 3but in this case Marcel will also be in charge of directing.

The producers of Venom 3 are, as usual, Avy Arad and Amy Pascal. Assuming that Hardy returns to being Brock in the third installment (having hinted that it could well be his last adventure), other names have already been known, not characters. So Juno Temple (TEd Lasso) will have a very important role alongside Hardy, and the same will happen with the latest addition that has been heard: Chiwetel Ejiofornominated for oscar by 12 years a slave.

Ejiofor’s role has not transcended either, although his is quite funny because… he is already part of the Marvel universe. At least in the continuity of Kevin Feige (which we would understand as one of the multiverses that orbit on venom), since Ejiofor has been the Baron Mordo both in Doctor Strange like in Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness. In Venom 3 could perfectly interpret it again, or opt for another character. There are no more details of this.

Release date of ‘Venom 3’

On the other hand, the influx of novelties gives the impression that Sony is in a hurry to put on its feet Venom 3, and filming can start at any moment. The major It has not yet set a release date, but it is reasonable to think that it will be after the aforementioned Kraven the Hunter (premiere this October 6although we have not yet seen a trailer or anything like that) and Madame Web (he February 16, 2024).

so we could wait Venom 3at the earliest, by the end of 2024. It is unknown, but of course we know more about it than about The dead: a movie that Sony doesn’t even remember anymore (much less Bad Bunny).
