Indeed, it would seem that Christian Bale prefer to embody the bad guys! During an exchange with Screen Rant (via Wegotthiscovered), the actor opened up about his favorite comic book adaptation role and against all odds, it’s not Batman which he quoted, but Gorr, the villain in Thor Love and Thunder.

“Easier to Slay the Gods”

Christian Bale explained that he found it easier to slip into the shoes of Gorr, the Godslayer, than the Dark Knight: ” [Les méchants] not only offer more fun, they are easier to play”he said, then believing that viewers are more fascinated by the antagonists. “As soon as the bad guy appears on the screen, no one looks at the good guy. All eyes are on the villain, so it’s a much easier acting gig. »

Like what for Christian Bale, slaying Gods is much easier than cleaning up the corrupt streets of Gotham City! And as usual, fans raved about her performances.

Christian Bale, a talented villain

Christian Bale is known to always be very invested in his roles. Result: the actor offers excellent performances, as evidenced by his work in Thor Love and Thunder. Fans and critics particularly appreciated the way he portrayed the character. Some go so far as to say that his presence and his performances greatly contributed to saving the film.

Christian Bale is also famous for his role as the terrible psychopath Patrick Bateman in American Psycho. Once again, the actor was showered with praise for his chillingly gripping performances. It is this film that really launched his career in 2010.

After Thor Love and Thunder, fans will be able to find him in two other films this year: in the drama “Amsterdam”, alongside Margot Robbie and John David Washington, then in the thriller “The Pale Blue Eye” in which Christian Bale plays a veteran detective who investigates murders in the company of the future famous writer Edgar Allan Poe.
