Le Gris, meanwhile, is a Norman squire whose intelligence and eloquence make him one of the most admired nobles of the court. When Carrouges’ wife is brutally attacked by Le Gris, which he denies having done, she refuses to remain silent. After she steps forward to face her alleged attacker, an exhausting duel to the death unfolds that places the fate of all three in God’s hands.

I had admired the show ‘Killing Eve’ and was looking for the opportunity to introduce Jodie Comer to a stimulating role. Her interpretation of Marguerite will make her one of the great actresses of her generation. “
