Born in the UK and raised partly in California, Lily Collinsdaughter of the musician Phil Collins and the actress Jill Tavelman, has always been ambitious. As a teenager, she wrote articles for teen vogueand in 2008, she covered the US presidential elections for the show Kids Pick the President on the chain Nickelodeon. She then studied broadcast journalism at the University of Southern California but also played several roles in parallel, notably in The Blind Side (2009), Snow White (2012) and Rules Don’t Apply (2016). The latter earned him a nomination for Golden Globes in 2017, and paves the way for intense, deeper roles, which have made the 33-year-old actress one of the most bankable of the moment.

The Blind Side (2009)

Lily Collins takes his first steps in the cinema in this (successful) adaptation of the book of Michael Lewis The Blind Side: Evolution of a Gamepublished in 2006, which recounts the incredible fate of Michael Oherline forward Ravens of Baltimore, famous football team of the NFLfrom his underprivileged childhood to the years spent at the Wingate Christian School until its decisive adoption by Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohycamped by Sandra Bullock who won the Golden Globe for best actress, Screen Actors Guild Award of the best actress and, supreme reward, theOscar for Best Actress. This sublime feature film by John Lee Hancock was also nominated as Best Film at this awards ceremony. Oscars. The very young Lily Collinsthen 20 years old, could not have dreamed of a better first lap on film sets.

Snow White (2012)

In this first major American film adaptation of the fairy tale, Lily Collins embodies a charming Snow Whitepersecuted by her wicked stepmother (Julia Roberts fabulous) who tries to kill her, jealous of her great beauty. Both of them live in a surreal and whimsical kingdom, to make pale Tim Burton. Burlesque, colorful and deliciously satirical, this version of Snow White worth a look, and marks the first major role of Lily Collins in the cinema, and the beginning of his fairy tale.
