Taron Egerton: A signing at Marvel? His career could take a stratospheric flight

A rather popular face in global pop-culture. The comedian Taron Egerton32, saw his career take off when the film was released Kingsman: Secret Service in 2015 where he shared the poster with big names in cinema like Colin Firth and Mark Strong. This gateway to popular cinema propelled him to important films like Eddie The Eagle in 2016 or Rocketman in 2019. He became the headliner of the saga Kingsman which continued in 2017 with “The Golden Circle”. Since then, the franchise has remained very silent, despite the arrival in 2021 from a very lame prequel: The King’s Man.

In 2024 however, and while the fans made a special call for the third installment of the saga to return quickly, it will finally be time to discover what Kingsman 3 since Matthew Vaughn made it official recently. While he was talking to Jess Cagle podcast with Julia Cunningham about by Blackbird, his last appearance in a TV series, Taron Egerton was asked about the next movie Kingsman and he revealed that he will probably start filming next year.

“I understand that we are going to shoot the third part of my saga, I believe, next year. But you know, don’t listen to what I say because I really don’t know. You know, these are adult decisions”.

Besides the hugely popular film series Kingsmanthe career of Taron Egerton should take on a whole new dimension since the actor is officially approached by marvel studios…To take over the role of Wolverinevacated by Australian Hugh Jackman since the spring of 2017. The actor has never hidden his desire to resume the iconic role of Logan, but had never confirmed negotiations until then. But it’s in a last interview with the New York Times that Taron Egerton validated that Marvel approached him to join his mcu :

“I would be really excited [à l’idée de jouer Logan] and at the same time a little anxious, because Hugh is so associated with this role. I wonder if it’s not too difficult for someone else to succeed him… Hopefully it will work out, they’ll give me a chance. »

For the moment, and despite the presence of the multiverse, Marvel does not seem to have decided yet to organize the return of X-Men. Only Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) had the opportunity to return to say hello to the spectators through his chair as leader of the Illuminati in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madnessbefore being brutally massacred by Wanda Maximoff after ten minutes of screen time. As for the call of the foot of Marvel so that Egerton become the next Loganwe will have to wait for an official confirmation from one of the two parties.
