(CNN) — Ryan Reynolds thinks Disney should reconsider the ratings of some of its classic movies for “irreversible trauma.”

Disney+ announced Thursday that the Marvel movies Deadpool, Deadpool 2 and Logan would soon be available on the service with an adult rating, or R rating in the United States. And Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, couldn’t help but share what he thought of the decision.

“Deadpool 3” is already in production and will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

“We’re supposed to announce that Logan and Deadpool will soon be the first R-rated movies on Disney+. But we all know that some Disney movies should already be rated R for irreversible trauma,” Reynolds wrote on Twitter.

And what exactly would those movies be?

The Lion King, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Old Yeller and Bambi were some of the Disney hits that Ryan Reynolds suggested should be re-rated.

In the case of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Reynolds said this 1937 animated classic should be rated RA because there is “trespassing, borderline polyandry, [y estoy] pretty sure those diamonds aren’t cruelty free.”

He also tweeted that Old Yeller was on his list because the movie made him “tear the hell up.” His further justification mentioned the “direct murder of Old Yeller. Also, bear abuse.”

Reynolds joked that The Lion King is full of “fratricides, mutilations, quite possibly love between half-siblings, or at least kisses between cousins. Really”.

As for Bambi, the “cold-blooded murder of an innocent mama deer, that will cause lifelong trauma,” he wrote.

Disney+ has yet to respond to Reynolds’ (joking) suggestions. But in a press release announcing Marvel’s new additions as of Friday, the company encouraged subscribers to review their parental control settings “to ensure a more appropriate viewing experience for themselves and their families.”
