Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z are rumored to be the mysterious buyers of the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, the most expensive car in the world.
Usually, one of the biggest mysteries surrounding one-offs that emerge concerns who the owner is. If some do not hesitate to talk about them, others on the other hand want to keep a certain discretion, and we can no longer count the number of unique creations of which we have absolutely no idea who they belong to. This is particularly the case of the Bugatti La Car Noire, the final version of which was unveiled a few days ago. If the rumors first evoked Ferdinand Piech, the former engineer and boss of Volkswagen who died in 2019, others then spoke of Cristiano Ronaldo, known for his love of flashy supercars. For now, the mystery still remains, but there is no doubt that the curious are busy finding who may have signed the check for 11 million euros. Today, it is another car, very different that is also talking about it: the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail.
Unveiled only a few weeks ago, this creation, built in just three copies, has continued to make people talk about it around the world. It must be said that there is something, while the car sports a totally incredible bodywork, produced at the request of a handful of loyal customers. This then pays homage to the Boat Tail of 1932, already in the collection of two buyers of the 2021 version. Of course, the identity of the latter has not been disclosed, but according to some, one of these new owners would not be alone, but would be a couple. And not just any, since it would be neither more nor less of Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z, who would therefore have spent more than 23 million euros for this car. If nothing has yet been confirmed, the Daily Mail is convinced of the identity of these very special customers, while the newspaper specifies that blue would be the favorite color of their couple, whose daughter is precisely named Blue Yvy. But that’s not all, because the champagne fridge would also have been designed to specifically accommodate bottles of Armand de Brignac, of which Jaz-Z would co-owner, as The Telegraph points out.
Champagne and parasol
Of course, and while all of these similarities may not seem like coincidences, one should be cautious, as nothing has been confirmed as of yet. But one thing is certain, you already have to have a well-stocked bank account to afford this creation, which is quite simply the most expensive new car in the world. 5.30 meters long, this Rolls-Royce Boat Tail carries under its hood a 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 taken from the Phantom and developing no less than 570 horsepower. But the most impressive thing is that this car hardly shares any bodywork elements with other models of the brand, and that more than 1,813 parts had to be manufactured just for this creation. The bon vivant will be delighted to discover that the safe opens with a superb service of signed cutlery. Christofle, while an integrated parasol allows guests to stay out of the sun. Finally, a double refrigerator keeps food and champagne cool. Enough to spend beautiful summer evenings, with ease, of course!
