The singer and daughter of Elvis Presley has died aged 54 after suffering cardiac arrest.
Last night, we learned of the death of Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley, at only 54 years old, after a cardiac arrest. An announcement which immediately provoked a wave of tributes from fans of course, but also from many personalities.
“Our hearts are broken by the sudden and shocking passing of Lisa Marie Presley tonight,” wrote Tom Hanks, who played Colonel Parker in the biopic “Elvis,” on Instagram.
Tom Hanks’ wife, Rita Wilson, left a longer message: “Our hearts are broken by the sudden and shocking passing of Lisa Marie Presley tonight. Tom and I had been spending time with the family during the promotional tour for the Elvis movie. Lisa Marie was so honest and direct, vulnerable, in a state of anticipation about the film (…) Sending love to the family, prayers for peace and strength. »
John Travolta, also via Instagram, paid tribute to the daughter of the legend: “Lisa my little darling, I am so sorry. I will miss you but I know I will see you again. My love and my heart are with Riley, Priscilla, Harper and Finley. »
“The world has lost a rare pearl today. May your soul rest in peace, ”wrote the singer P!nk, in the caption of a snapshot with Lisa Marie Presley.
Nicolas Cage, to whom Lisa Marie Presley was married in the early 2000s, expressed his pain to The Hollywood Reporter: “This is devastating news. Lisa had the biggest laugh of anyone I’ve ever met. She lit up every room and I’m heartbroken. I find some comfort in believing that she is reunited with her son Benjamin (who died in 2020, editor’s note) “.
