‘Orphan Black’: Krysten Ritter will star in and produce the sequel to the AMC series

Actress Krysten Ritter, known for her roles in titles like Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ or ‘Breaking Bad’, will star in and produce the sequel to ‘Orphan Black’, which will premiere in 2023 on the AMC+ streaming platform. The new series will have 10 episodes.

‘Orphan Black: Echoes’ will be a dystopian series set in the not too distant future (within the same universe as the original ‘Orphan Black’), which will address scientific issues such as human existence. A group of women, including Krysten Ritter’s character Lucy, grapple with the ins and outs of her own identity. The series will feature Anna Fishko as creator and John Fawcett, creator of ‘Orphan Black’, will be involved as executive producer.

‘Orphan Black’ was a hit, highlighting the incredible performance of Tatiana Maslany as the multiple leading clones, roles that earned her an Emmy Award. Now has made the leap to Marvel as Jennifer Walters, Hulk’s cousin in ‘She-Hulk: Lawyer She-Hulk’. In addition, the appearance of Charlie Cox’s character, Daredevil, among other cameos, has been confirmed from the series itself. Krysten Ritter hasn’t made it into the MCU yet because Jessica Jones didn’t belong in the franchise, but will she be moving on from her as her partner from ‘The Defenders’?

Will Jessica Jones make a cameo?

There is a theory about hair: our haircut not only reveals our personality, but also where we are in our lives. If this theory is applied to the account of Instagram Krysten Ritter can still take a few guesses about her hairstyle. Rumors suggest that the actress could be preparing for the return of Jessica Jones and, if it were soon, we would see her appear in ‘She-Hulk: Lawyer Hulka’.

Disney + collected all those titles that Netflix had developed together with Marvel. In Spain, since June 29 ‘Daredevil’, ‘Jessica Jones’ or ‘Luke Cage’ were already part of the Star catalog. Some of these characters have already made the leap to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is the case of Charlie Cox (Daredevil) in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, or Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) who has also appeared in ‘Hawkeye’. Will Jessica Jones’ time come?

She-Hulk: Lawyer She-Hulk will premiere on Disney+ on August 17.
