Ocean’s Twelve : a Eurotrip for the strip

Danny Ocean and his friends thought they could have peaceful days after robbing Terry Benedict’s casinos (Andy Garcia). But the businessman had promised not to stay on this failure. He therefore finds the band so that it returns his 200 million dollars to him in two weeks. If they fail to honor this imposed contract, Danny and his friends will die.

So they decide to cross the Atlantic and multiply the blows in record time. Their stay begins in Amsterdam, where they realize that they have to face two strong opponents : the mysterious “Night Fox” (Vincent Cassel) and Isabel Lahiri (Catherine Zeta-Jones), an Interpol agent determined to catch Rusty Ryan (brad pitt) because of an old dispute.

A challenge for Brad Pitt and Don Cheadle

During a career interview given to QG in 2020, George Clooney remembers the good atmosphere that reigned during the production. The actor says that part of the filming took place in Italy near Lake Como, a sumptuous corner of the Alpine region where he lived.

One evening, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle and Matt Damon take a boat to an abandoned mansion. Before that, the interpreter of Danny Ocean takes care of make his accomplices believe that the place is haunted :

My friend Giovanni, who is Italian, pretended to read a story in which a guy kills people and throws the bodies in the lake. He was telling everyone how dangerous this house is.

The actor continues:

So around three o’clock in the morning, (…), Matt, Don, Brad and I enter the house. The first thing you see is a sort of statue of a serpent devouring a woman’s head. (…) So we came to say that we would give 10,000 dollars to whoever would spend the night in the house, with only six matches and a bottle of wine.

Brad Pitt and Don Cheadle were then more reckless, at least for a few moments:

Matt and I left Cheadle and Pitt there. We sat in the boat and we saw a candle go from window to window. And then we get a call and they tell us: “Fuck, get us out of this house!” We came back and got them out of there. There was a lot of nonsense throughout the filming, we had wonderful times.

We want to say thanks to the author of this post for this awesome material
