Summary :

United States, 1940s. To escape his past and earn a living, Stanton is hired by showmen, and meets Dina, a clairvoyant, and her mentalist husband. With them, he learns the tricks to manipulate the spectators and extract the maximum amount of money from them. Stanton then decides to leave the showmen to lead his own boat. He crosses paths with a psychiatrist.

If it offers high-quality direction and casting, Nightmare Alley on the other hand, relies on an unattractive scenario: the main character is not very endearing and the end is expected.
