USA.- It’s been quite a while since Matt Damon assumed the role of Jason Bourne, but now he is ready to return. Through our trusted and proven sources, we can report that Damon will be returning to the d universe.and Bourne, Y Paul Greengrass he is also in talks to direct the new feature. Greengrass has directed three of the five Jason Bourne films.
The last time we saw Matt Damon as Jason Bourne, it was in the 2016 film that shared the same name as everyone’s favorite killer. Paul Greengrass also directed that movie, since he also directed The Bourne Supremacy Y The Bourne Ultimatum. Not sure what the plot of this sixth movie would entail, but it’s great to see Damon return to one of his most iconic roles.
Matt Damon’s latest entry showed Jason Bourne finally cured of his amnesia as he lives as a street fighter in Greece. However, he finds out about his entry into the program treadstone and his father’s involvement in the show. Bourne then goes on a quest to once again expose Treadstone, discovering that he is putting together an even worse program that surpasses the Blackbriar program that was used on him.
Matt Damon returning to the world of Jason Bourne could mean he’s still going to be on the run after recording the conversation between the new director of the INC and the Director of National Intelligence. Now there will be even more government agencies after the information Bourne now has. However, Greengrass might also want to shake things up and reboot the entire franchise.
This is just speculation at this point, as there are likely plenty of stories to tell involving Matt Damon’s Jason Bourne. Although he always tries to remain in isolation, he often runs into him or places him in a situation that lands him back on the wrong side of the road. INC and more. Now that Bourne has high security information through the last conversations he recorded, we could imagine a situation similar to that of John Wick, where many old or new Blackbriar assassins are after him.
For now, we’ll have to wait for confirmation that Matt Damon and Jason Bourne are going to grace our screens once again. Even more exciting will be when Paul Greengrass is confirmed to direct the new potential sequel, as he’s been behind the camera for arguably the best movies in the series. Also, we’d love to see Bourne crossover with John Wick at some point.
Matt Damon currently has three movies on his slate, so there could be plenty of time for him to return as Jason Bourne. His next starring film is in Oppenheimer, as he joins an expansive cast that includes Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Gary Oldman, Rami Malek and more in the new epic of Christopher Nolan. However, we can’t wait to see Damon return as the world’s greatest assassin.
