‘Man of Steel 2’ with Henry Cavill is getting closer to becoming a reality

It seems that a sequel to ‘Man of Steel’ could still be closer than expected. While nearly a decade has passed since Henry Cavill debuted as Superman, concrete details about a possible sequel within DC have been few and far between.

Nevertheless, According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros is considering a potential new project for Superman.and the studio is eager to see Cavill back in the role he first took on nine years ago.

The publication affirms that it would indeed be ‘Man of Steel 2’, with Charles Roven as producer and Warner Bros in the search for possible screenwriters.

Christopher McQuarrie, the director of the latest ‘Mission Impossible’ films (who has also worked with Cavill) is apparently on the company’s wish list, although, according to what the publication explains, there has been no formal contact, and may be too busy.

This comes after Man of Steel co-writer David S. Goyer suggested last year that there was “unfinished business”, saying he had heard “rumors” of a sequel.

“I think (there is still unfinished business),” he admitted to The Hollywood Reporter at the time. “I’m not involved in this right now. I’ve heard the same rumors you’ve heard, but I’m not connected to it.”

Cavill himself has also shown enthusiasm for a Superman sequel, telling Collider in 2018: “I have a great desire to do ‘Man of Steel 2,’ a direct sequel to ‘Man of Steel,’ and there’s a lot of Superman .story I want to tell.”There is a whole style of the Superman character that I really want to tell and I look forward to that opportunity.“.
