Afraid that her co-star was going out of line and actually hitting her, the actress brought her bodyguards to the set, taking it upon herself to leave a stern warning for Fassbender. “If you touch me, they will break your legs” she told him in reference to his bodyguard. To which the actor replied that she would be tied to a bed, so he was not in a position to tell her that.
Although the actress recalled that those scenes were not easy to shoot, she still did not let the awkwardness get in the way. “I had a few shots of vodka before we shot the scene, and when we were done, I had a few glasses of champagne to celebrate that I’ll never have to do that again,” she confessed.
A couple of years ago, the actress revealed that I would no longer shoot romantic scenes that it be directed by men, since, despite not being against that type of scenes, it did not seem right to him to have to put himself in that situation of such vulnerability and discomfort.
Despite A dangerous method had some controversial and historically questionable scenes, the film got very good reviews from critics, especially for the performances of the actors, especially those of Viggo Mortensen Y Michael Fassbenderas well as the address of David Cronenberg.
