Joker “Folie à Deux”: Margot Robbie sends her encouragement to Lady Gaga

During a recent interview, Margot Robbie wanted to send a message of support to Lady Gaga, the new Harley Quinn.

This is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated projects of the coming months. Indeed, the second part of Joker promises to do as well as its predecessor. Even if the narrative arc of the film is still quite mysterious, major news has been revealed for several months. It is Lady Gaga who will have the heavy task of bringing Harley Quinn to life. If the singer-actress has all the assets to play the role, the bet is difficult to say the least. Indeed, Margot Robbie is a reference when it comes to the character. But the latter wanted to encourage her “colleague” in this new adventure. Indeed, Robbie is very proud to see that Harley Quinn is taking an important place on the screen.

Robbie is also delighted to see the new dimension that Gaga will be able to offer to this coveted role. Far from being jealous, she welcomes the arrival of the singer on the screen in a few months.

“I am extremely happy for her. But I’m especially proud that the character passes through the hands of a great actress. It’s a bit like when a Batman or a Macbeth passes the torch. As far as major female roles are concerned, this is rather rare. I experienced the same thing while playing Elizabeth. I thought it was an honor to go after Cate Blanchett. Harley is an amazing figure. And I’m sure she’s going to do something great with it! » explains Robbie to the press. The actress therefore seems impatient to see Gaga’s performance on the screen.

The comparison will obviously be inevitable! But if we judge by Gaga’s talent, her personal madness and her ability to appropriate very strong characters, we can easily imagine that the result will be largely up to par. The whole plot will take place in the very dark Arkham Asylum. We also learned that Jacob Lofland will join the distribution. The latter will camp a sinister inmate who will befriend the Joker. We will also find Robert De Niro and Zazie Beetz.

Joker “Madness for two” therefore promises to be a major project, carried by a very solid cast. The film is currently expected in the fall of 2024. It will therefore still be necessary to be patient to discover the final result.
