Johnny Depp, Bashung or home detox, what are you going to watch on TV this weekend?

Popularized by Marie Kondo, storage has become a real business. Experts in cleaning, sorting and other garage sales abound today on platforms such as Netflix. TF1 is therefore getting up to speed by offering a new program, Detox your home: 7 days to tidy everything up. Led by Elodie Villemus, specialist in event organization and passionate about order and decoration, a team of professionals will help a family get rid of the superfluous.

They will have 7 days to empty, sort, store all the objects accumulated in their house. To make them aware of the problem, the experts will completely empty their home and expose its contents in a huge 1000 m2 warehouse. What to realize that “owning 440 pairs of shoes, 90 cuddly toys or even 286 board games… is out of the ordinary“.

Sell, recycle or donate

Once the electroshock has passed, the families will have to get rid of 50% of their belongings themselves, keeping the essentials. They will then have the choice: put their useless objects in the “for sale” box, opt for the “recycle” box, or, better yet, donate their belongings to an association to make people happy.

Élodie Villemus’ team is made up of Johanna Labretonnière, home organizer and young mother who will give her storage tips and methods, but also Pierre-Henri Le-Defond, carpenter fitter capable of creating bespoke furniture and optimize space. Finally, Yohann Dieul, passionate about cleaning, will be there to deliver his natural and economical tips for cleaning our interiors.

All these beautiful people will go during the first episode, broadcast this Saturday, January 14, at Samantha and Dan. Parents of three boys, they are overwhelmed by the objects accumulated in recent years. Their compulsive shopping has led them to such a major mess that it weighs on the harmony of the couple and their family life. Fortunately, all that will soon be a thing of the past…

At the North Pole, the countdown has begun: global warming is accelerating. It is now four times faster there than on the rest of the planet. This documentary shows that largely still inaccessible and deserted, the Arctic still remains a refuge for bears, whales, walruses and herds of reindeer, even if the permafrost thaws. Researchers have fitted some animals with GPS trackers that help document its long journeys in search of food.

3.Saturday 14: “Dare Bashung! – France 4, 10:55 p.m.

With his atypical career, his taste for words, and his unique ability to make the link between rock’n’roll and French song, the late Alain Bashung occupies a special place in the French musical landscape. But who is hiding behind the immortal interpreter of Osez Joséphine”, “My small business” or “The night I lie”? This documentary from 2021 looks back on the wounds of the Alsatian childhood of the one who declared “I am a bastard” and on his almost ten years of musical wanderings before finding success.

4.Sunday 14: Belgian Cyclo-Cross Championships – TIPIK, 1:15 p.m.

Even if the Citadel of Namur event and the world championships are systematically broadcast, cyclo-cross remains rare on French-speaking television (it is a sport that remains very Flemish). This Sunday, it’s the Belgian championships, with first the race of the “women’s elite” followed by that of the gentlemen. The latter without the unbeatable Wout Van Aert. Damage ! But at least there will be suspense since they will be half a dozen to be able to dream of the title.

5.Sunday 14: “In the eyes of Johnny Depp” – ARTE, 9:55 p.m.

Since “21 Jump Street”, comedian Johnny Depp has come a long way. This cantor of the underground at his beginnings could have been only a smooth handsome kid but he became a dark icon via the films of Tim Burton (and an actor who can also be comical as in “Ed Wood”). He ended up becoming a planetary star with the series “Pirates of the Caribbean”. And the hero of a judicial “reality TV” with his trial against his “ex” Amber Heard.

We want to give thanks to the writer of this post for this awesome material
