“I was obsessed with it,” the actor said of acting in an interview on Sunday Today with Willie Geist last summer. “They agreed and supported him,” he assured in reference to his parents, “and then in a short time I began to get a job and earn a living.”
The actor was born on October 22 in Pennsylvania, United States, in 1952. His mother worked in the sale of household appliances and his father was a doctor and apart from him, the couple had three other children. “While he was growing up, he had two older brothers and a little sister. We’ve always been very close,” he told Vulture in 2021. “Our parents exposed us to cultural things, they were very curious. They both wanted to be actors.”
