Like every year, the stars responded to the Met Gala this Monday, September 13. And some of them walked the red carpet as a couple … for twice the style!
Over the years, the Met Gala has established itself as THE must-see event for the stars. This Monday, September 13, it is therefore in very large numbers that celebrities have responded to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. And each presented their outfit, which for this edition had to respond to the theme of Lexicon of fashion in America. If Kim Kardashian blew the crowds in a very stunning outfit and Billie Eilish transformed into the Marilyn Monroe of the 21st century, some stars preferred to walk the red carpet as a couple. This is particularly the case of Rihanna and A $ AP Rocky. For the occasion, the bride and groom had donned XXL outfits, very colorful for the rapper and a darker one signed Balanciaga for the singer, who had also donned Bulgari diamonds. After making their debut in Venice, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck also made a notable appearance at the Met Gala.
For the occasion, the singer and actress had bet on a cowgirl outfit signed Ralph Lauren that fit her perfectly: a rustic ensemble that included a plunging neckline, a fur jacket, a long dress with a thigh slit and a hat. Jennifer Lopez paired this stunning look with metallic silver strappy stilettos from her own DSW line. If they haven’t walked the red carpet together, Ben and Jennifer found each other well and offered a surprising shot: a kiss exchanged … with their masks! Another iconic couple present that evening, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin have chosen looks a little more sober. The bride and groom opted to adopt all-black and timeless evening outfits, a surprising choice for the couple who generally favor streetwear in bright colors. Hailey wore a black maxi dress with a plunging Saint Laurent neckline inspired by Grace Kelly, while the singer had bet on a modern tuxedo.
Which couples were present?
For this evening, Rose Leslie and Kit Harington left their first child at home to dazzle the red carpet! The Jon Snow portrayal in Game of Thrones wore a custom Saint Laurent costume, while his wife wore a yellow Oscar de la Renta dress. “We wanted to go for art deco but with a modern concept, but we wanted to do away with the old Hollywood glamor, explained Rose Leslie. We wanted to showcase the decadence and luxury of it all. “ Like them, other couples have also chosen to form a duo for the evening of the year: this is particularly the case of Claire Danes, accompanied by her husband Hugh Dancy, Adrien Brody, very elegant on the arm of her companion Georgina Chapman or Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz. In a fabulous pink dress, Nicola Peltz brightened up the evening before Brooklyn Beckham’s tender, amazed eyes. Love is in the air !
