Queen Aemma (Sian Brooke) is shown to be pregnant with a baby, but she gets tired of pushing and the position of the child is still not right for her to push the baby. However, when her husband King Viserys I (Paddy Considine) was informed, he chose to make a decision for her without letting her know the consequences, which eventually led to the queen’s death, but surprisingly, the baby prince dies a few hours after the death of his mother. Paddy Considine spoke to Insider about the scene, sharing her feelings, saying, “It was hard days filming, it was hard filming. It’s all a fantasy, but it was difficult.”

“It was very emotional,” Considine said. “In fact, it was much more brutal and much more emotional than what ends in the final episode. And I wasn’t sure about that when I first saw it. Maybe it was too much because Viserys is completely devastated, and maybe that was too much to show at first. I think they really narrowed it down really well.”

‘House of the Dragon’ co-producer and director Miguel Sapochnik also told Insider separately that they had shown the cut scene to “as many women as possible” to ask if it was too violent. He said the unanimous answer was no.
