Furiosa: after Chris Hemsworth, Anya Taylor-Joy is unrecognizable in the prequel to Mad Max Fury Road (photos)

Seven years after the shock Mad Max: Fury Roadwe are still eagerly awaiting the release of Furioasathe prequel to the film centered on the character played by Charlize Theron.

A highly anticipated film

We’re not arresting George Miller anymore. At 77, the father of madmax continues to surprise its audience. After marveling the Croisette at the last Cannes Film Festival with Three thousand years waiting for youwhom he considers an “anti-Mad Max”, the Australian director is currently working on Furiosaa prequel to Mad Max: Fury Roadwith Anya Taylor-Joy in the title role.

While last month, we shared these images of Chris Hemsworth (Thor: Love and Thunder), taken on the set of the film, today we discover new photos, this time of the main actress. And the least we can say is that she is unrecognizable!

If Furiosa has a shaved head in Mad Max: Fury Road, Anya Taylor-Joy was not subject to the same obligation as Charlize Theron. Her hair, usually blond, is dyed black and unkempt. She wears a dirty costume, typical of post-apocalyptic films, with a bloodstain on the side. Photos that contrast greatly with the image that Taylor-Joy usually sends back: that of a woman full of grace, very stylizedmixture of porcelain doll and Nordic deity.

A talented actress

Whatever, Furiosa should be a new step in the impressive career of Anya Taylor-Joy. The actress, who rose to fame with the awesome The Witch by Robert Eggers, has become over the years a true rising star of Hollywood. After a remarkable appearance in the last two seasons of Peaky Blinders (she plays the wife of Michael Shelby), the American-British actress caused a sensation in the mini-series The Queen’s Game for Netflix and Dark Crystal: Age of Resistancebefore bursting the screen in Last Night In Soho of his compatriot Edgar Wright and in The Northman by Robert Egger.

For the sequel, we are therefore waiting for it at the turn in Furiosa by George Miller, but also in amsterdamthe next film by David O. Russell (happiness therapy), in which she joins a multi-star cast, made up of Christian Bale (The Dark Knight, fighter), Margot Robbie (The wolf of Wall Street, Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood), John David Washington (tenet), Rami Malek (Mr Robot, No Time To Die), Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy, Avatar), Robert De Niro (Freedmen, Casino), Michael Shannon (Boardwalk Empire, The Shape of Water) and Chris Rock (Fargothe slap of Will Smith).
