This is the opportunity to live a beautiful cinematographic experience, and why not to approach stars like Eva Green, Romain Duris or Vincent Cassel. Between mid-August and early September, scenes from the film “The Three Musketeers” by Martin Bourboulon will be shot at the Château Fontainebleau.
As for the castle, we cannot yet give details of the scenes that will be shot there, but we are talking about a “consequent, something beautiful and big” shoot.
The film, from the universe of Alexandre Dumas, will be a new adaptation of the Three Musketeers in two parts: D’artagnan and Milady. The action takes place in the 17th century, “in a dangerous world where musketeers, aristocrats and bandits meet”. Eva Green will play the role of Milady, François Civil of D’Artagnan, Vincent Cassel of Athos and Romain Duris of Aramis.
Producer Dimitri Rassam confirmed to our colleagues from French Film that the goal is to “create an event. I wanted a family fresco, adventures with a capital A. The Three Musketeers ticked all the boxes ”.
The release of the first part is scheduled for 2023, but already other feature films around Dumas’s work are being considered.
For the castle, it’s a new big shoot looming, after notably the Human Comedy in 2019, the Netflix series “Revolution” or even the famous short film on Voldemort and the Emperor of Paris.
For the film, the production is looking for “many extras”, who will probably shoot in period costume, aged between 18 and 65, “living near Fontainebleau”. It will probably be necessary to be mobilized several days to participate in the adventure. Your presence will be paid at the Cinema union rate.
