First images of Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt in ‘Babylon’

It is now available the first glimpse of Babylon, the long-awaited new film from the talented director Damien Chazelle. The filmmaker of la la land returns with some glamorous images, but above all, with a cast full of stars; Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt and Tobey Maguire among others.

Babylon focuses on the decade of the 20s of Hollywood, with a synopsis of which we know very little. It’s actually scheduled for arrive at the beginning of the year and we have not yet been able to see a trailer. We only know that it is a story of colossal ambition and outrageous excess. Luckily, Chazelle did explain the idea of ​​what he wanted to achieve in a recent interview with Vanity Fair: “The basic idea was to make a big multi-character epic movie, set in these early days of Los Angeles and Hollywood, when both were coming to what we now think of them as what they are.”

The young director (he is 36 years old) explained to the magazine that in that historical period everything was changing under the feet of some actors who did not know what the next step was, “everything was just new and wild”, ended by sentencing Chazelle. Pitt will play a movie superstar named Jack Conrad he begins to look back on his past, wondering what he has left to experience. Robbie instead is Nellie LaRoyan aspiring actress who suddenly finds herself in the spotlight, while Tobey Maguire plays to the myth of cinema Charles Chaplin.

Babylon It is the return of Damien Chazelle to the cinema since the 2018 premiere first-man, Neil Armstrong’s landing on the moon. This was received with a certain coldness by critics and the public, but his two previous works, whiplash and above all la la land, made him a talented precocious filmmaker that moviegoers around the world are eagerly awaiting if the American’s streak continues.
