Thor: Love and Thunder, fourth opus of the series gives us an appointment on July 13 in dark rooms. At the top of the bill, there will of course be Chris Hemsworth. Moreover, with this new opus, Thor is the first MCU hero to be entitled to a fourth solo film. Which ultimately means that the film is awaited at the turn by critics.
Since his first appearance in the MCU, Chris Hemsworth was always the head playing Thor in the cinema. But, it apparently came close to making the actor refuses to continue to slip into the skin of Thor for this fourth installment.
Luckily for the franchise, he finally decided to re-enlist. Explanation of the reasons for this choice.

His love for the character took over, among other things
In 2011, Chris Hemsworth appeared on the big screen for the first time as Thor. The Asgardian then officially entered the MCU in 2013 with Thor: The Dark World. Opus which was not unanimous with the public despite the praise given to Chris Hemsworth for his acting. For his part, Hemsworth found the role boring.
For the third part, Thor: Ragnarok, Hemsworth pressed Taika Waititi to put his spin on the character. Something that was done and which finally allowed the film to flirt with success. And soon, Chris Hemsworth will again be in the skin of Thor, for a fourth solo film, Thor: Love and Thunder.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Chris Hemsworth made it clear that he was hesitant to reprise the role. To explain his final decision, the Australian actor indicates that in addition to having been conquered by the incredible scenario of Taika Waititi, the latter has taken a big place in his life, and has been for more than ten years now.
I love playing the character. I love the trip I took with him. Not just as Thor, but just my life. Both [facettes] have been side by side for 10, 11 years now and have always intertwined.
Being able to work with Taika again. I don’t know if I would have done another if Taika hadn’t said yes, he was going to. And he had written this beautiful script that was crazy, crazy, romantic comedy set in space that I had never seen before.
For connoisseurs, the MCU’s Thor is very different from the one found in the comics. Waititi has indeed renewed this superhero a lot, making it much funnier. And for this next adventure, the actor and the director are likely to make flashes.
