Fast & Furious 10 could bring its share of surprises to believe a video posted by Vin Diesel.
After surprising everyone with a top-notch box office in the midst of a pandemic for Fast & Furious 9 (172 million in the United States and 714 million in the world), the saga still has two films under the hood to bow out (announced). And the next movie Fast & Furious 10 is already on the rails since he already has its release date scheduled for April 7, 2023.
The tenth opus’s mission is to make it even crazier than the previous one, and it’s not going to be easy. With a spacewalk aboard a spaceship car, Fast & Furious 9 had reached new heights. Still, Vin Diesel might just be setting us up for even more craziness in a short video that would like to announce even faster cars.
“Okay, rocket, check. Now what do we have left?”
If the release date is already scheduled, the story around Fast & Furious 10 is kept secret. While Justin Lin will again go behind the camera, we should logically find the historical members of the family with Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez or Ludacris. As for John Cena and Charlize Theron, they will probably also be on the trip. If the next movie is still a mystery, Vin Diesel may have revealed some clues on his Instagram account.
A video certainly, focused on his face, but behind which we can distinguish Formula 1 racing cars as the actor himself specifies: “Yeah, I’m racing Formula 1 in Italy”. A video without much interest, but the caption obviously seems to indicate that all this would have a link with the franchise: “The race !! Heavy will come …”. A comment followed by a series of hashtags in reference to the fast and furious saga.
After having pierced the stratosphere, will the fine team embark on the Formula 1 race? Not that this is unrealistic for the franchise, but it is all the more plausible since Dom Toretto’s father (Vin Diesel) is himself a former professional racer of nascar. After the flashbacks on the father in Fast & Furious 9, will the family be reunited? The other, more subtle clue is based on the pretty tank top worn by the actor.
A piece of clothing which is part of the folklore of the saga and which here mentions the names of Dom Toretto and Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker). Is it just a tribute to Paul Walker or is it his character will have any role in the next opus ? Hoping that they don’t push the vice by digitally bringing the actor back to life. At any rate, Fast & Furious 10 will probably continue on the highway of overbidding and offer us an ever more deliciously nag and regressive spectacle.
