In Don’t Look Up, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence do everything to save the planet from a dangerous comet. Check out the ultimate rock’n’roll trailer for Adam McKay’s new comedy, to check out December 24 on Netflix.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence are going to light up your holiday season with Don’t Look Up: Cosmic Denial, a new film by Adam McKay, on Netflix. The platform has just unveiled the final trailer for this crazy comedy in which the duo plays two poor astronomers who are trying to warn humanity that a comet is heading towards Earth and is about to destroy it.

To carry out their mission like no other, they will have to convince the politicians and the population and will then be confronted with a gallery of crazy characters embodied by an exceptional cast: Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Timothée Chalamet, Kid Cudi, Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Tyler Perry, Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis, Tomer Sisley but also Ariana Grande.

With wigs, accoutrements and bizarre accessories, the whole troop has transformed to interpret colorful and completely crazy characters. The actors seem to be having a blast if one relies on the new images of the trailer which promises real chaos mixing the true and the false and the satire.

Anyway, as funny as it is desperate, is good for the tandem of astronomers to make the world roll their eyes and understand that the threat is real. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence are the only ones to worry about the future of humanity while their interlocutors, between the president, the morning presenters, the rebels, the starlets and the scientists take them for weirdos.

From this unusual pitch, Adam McKay, to whom we owe Vice, The Big Short: The Heist of the Century and Featured Presenter: the legend of Ron Burgundy, should draw an offbeat, acerbic and hilarious show carried by a five-star cast and sprinkled with ambitious visual effects.

Comet Impact Don’t Look Up: Cosmic Denial is slated for December 24 on Netflix.
