Despite low scores, Dwayne Johnson celebrates Black Adam’s first achievement

Recently Black Adam hit theaters. The long-awaited new DCEU movie with Dwayne Johnson received an expected low approval score on movie sites like Rotten Tomatoes. But despite this, the film had its first weekend and surprised everyone.

The story features Teth-Adam (Johnson) an Egyptian slave in the fictional city of Kahndaq who is given the powers of the warlock Shazam. Despite his good intentions, Teth strays from the path of good and becomes a villain. Thousands of years later, Black Adam awakens in the present day and a mysterious group of men are after him. This draws the attention of the Justice Society of America (JSA) and their heroes: Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), and Dr. Fate (Pierce Brosnan).
