Cher asks for 85 million dollars to make you the new owner of her mansion in Malibu

How much would you be willing to pay for an Oscar winner’s mansion? After 33 years of owning this Malibu clifftop mansion, cher You’ve decided to put your old home up for sale for nothing more than 85 million dollars.

If you also believe in love for one of Malibu’s most recognizable and visible mansionsthis luxurious property is extensively customized by the builder Wallace Tutt III and the designer Ron Wilson inspired by the ones Cher had seen in Venice, Italy, where “from every room there is a view of the sea”.

Cher brought Italy to her Malibu mansion

Acquired in 1989 by 3 million dollarsthe mansion encompasses 1.7 acreshas panoramic walls and arches as doorways, as well as some of the most impressive views of the coastline that stretch from Point Dume to Santa Monica and Catalina Island.

Inspired by the Italian Renaissance, the construction of the house took almost five years to complete. The house has seven rooms, a meditation room and the main bathroom is designed as a hamman; home was recently renovated by interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard.

The rooms stand out for having limestone and marble imported from Italy and France, hand-forged bronze doors, fittings and tiles from Spain and Morocco. The house is especially notable for limestone block walls and carved panels from India.

Inside is a fireplace with a gold-patterned, hand-painted ceiling and Moroccan chandelier, a gourmet kitchen outfitted with custom white cabinetry, an Ann Sacks silver-tile backsplash, and high-end Wolf appliances.

Amenities include an infinity pool, tennis court, and a separate guest house, fitness center, indoor theater, and a courtyard with a Moorish-style fountain.

According to the 2002 book, The Cher Scrapbookthe house also has a climate-controlled wig room where the Grammy winner keeps nearly 100 wigs.

This is not the first time Cher has tried to sell the house, about a decade ago the house went on the market for $45 millionbut never sold.

The property is owned by Drew Fenton and Robert Kass of Hilton & Hyland.
