Chadwick Boseman received a nomination for the next edition of the Emmy Awards. The actor who passed away in August 2020 and is recognized for his role in films like Black Panther Y 42 was nominated in the category “Best Voice-Over Performance of a Character” for the 74th edition of those television awards.
This nomination for Boseman is due to one of his last works that was presented in the context of the animated series What If…? from Marvel Studios and where the actor performed the voice of a version of T’Challa who, instead of becoming Black Panther, assumed the role of Star-Lord after being kidnapped by Yondu when he was little.
Boseman is nominated in the category of “Best Voice-Over Performance of a Character” along with other actors such as Julie Andrews, F. Murray Abraham and Jeffrey Wright, who was also considered. by What If…? All while Jessica Walter was also posthumously nominated for her work on Archers.

Chadwick Boseman died at the age of 43 due to colon cancer and was previously nominated posthumously in the “Best Actor” category at the 2021 Oscar Awards for his role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. However, on that occasion Anthony Hopkins kept the statuette.
On the other hand, both the nomination of Boseman and of Wright and Abraham are part of the considerations that Marvel Studios obtained for its programs at the Emmy Awards because although the company is not in competition in any of the central categories of the ceremony, in the aspect of the Creative Emmys earned nominations for Moon Knight, Loki, What If…?
