Bryce Dallas Howard Paid Far Less Than Chris Pratt On ‘Jurassic World’ – GameSpot

‘Jurassic World’ star Bryce Dallas Howard has revealed she was paid “significantly less” than her co-star Chris Pratt – even less than originally announced.

In 2018, Variety reported that Howard, 41, earned $2 million less than Pratt, 43, for “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” — earning $8 million compared to Pratt’s $10 million.

But the actress opened up about the gender pay gap in an interview with Insider, saying the disparity was bigger than expected.

“The reports were so interesting because I was paid so much less than the reports said, so much less,” Howard said.

“When I started trading for ‘Jurassic,’ it was in 2014, and it was a different world, and I was at a huge disadvantage. And, unfortunately, you have to sign up for three movies, and so your offers are set,” she continued.

While Howard didn’t reveal the amount of the pay gap, she shared that she discussed the situation with Pratt, who helped lobby for equal pay at other franchise properties that don’t. didn’t have contracts set in stone, including video games and theme park rides.

“What I will say is that Chris and I discussed it, and whenever there was an opportunity to move the needle on things that hadn’t been negotiated yet, like a game or a ride , he literally said to me, ‘You guys don’t even have to do anything. I will do all the negotiation. We’re going to get paid the same, and you don’t have to think about it, Bryce,” Howard said.

“And I love him so much for doing that. Really, because I got paid more for this stuff than I ever got paid for the movie,” she added.

Howard and Pratt co-starred in all three “Jurassic World” movies, released in 2015, 2018, and the last, “Jurassic World: Dominion,” in June 2022.
