Brendan Fraser reunites with Mummy 3’s Michelle Yeoh in sweet TIFF photos

Brendan Fraser’s return was almost a perfect comeback for the much-loved actor, and despite the cancellation of bat girlhe is still on the right track thanks to his role in The whale. Fraser was seen recently at several events to promote the film, and in one of those appearances he got his The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor co-star Michelle Yeoh.

In 2008, the third film of The Mummy The franchise was considered the weakest of the trilogy, but despite very mixed reviews, the film managed to gross $403 million at the box office. Although that effectively killed the franchise, Fraser and Yeoh continued to do other things. Sadly, Fraser’s career took a rocky turn due to personal setbacks, which impacted his film appearances, but that seems to be fixed now, as the actor is on course to potentially win multiple awards for his role in The whaleas well as being celebrated at every film festival screening he attended.

During their appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival, Yeoh and Fraser met up and took the time to snap some photos that are enough to put a smile on everyone’s face. A24 Film Studio, which is behind Yeoh’s hit movie Everything, everywhere, all at onceshared the images on their Twitter account, which you can see below.

Brendan Fraser recently shared his disappointment with Batgirl Cancelation

Like many DC fans, Brendan Fraser was disappointed to learn that Warner Bros. Discovery gave up bat girl. Clearly, for the actor, the movie was going to be a big part of his recent comeback after many years away from the big and small screen. He recently opened up about the abandonment of the film saying:

“The fans really wanted to see this movie made. Leslie Grace is a dynamo. The film was shot and designed for a smaller screen. In that time we came out of between the streaming service and theatrical release, it ended up being the canary in the coal mine. What have we learned from this? Work with trusted filmmakers, like Darren [Aranofsky].”

Of course, there was little about the film’s cancellation being due to the stars or crew behind the film, the recouping of money from Warner Bros. Discovery being the only reason the nearly completed movie didn’t see the light of day. However, it’s clear that Fraser isn’t allowing this small setback to affect his future, as he’s already lining up a number of new roles, including as part of Martin Scorsese. The Moonflower Slayers.

The whale currently drawing early reviews which aren’t entirely positive for the film itself, but all of which praised Fraser’s performance, which many have cited as a potential Oscar contender, as well as a potential winner of many other prizes for his driving. The whale is slated for general release in the United States on December 9, 2022.
