Beyoncé, Diana Ross, Elton John joined the ranks of tributes to Tina Turner after her death.

The press officer of the singer of Simply the Best announced her death on Wednesday (May 24, 2023), revealing that the artist had passed away at the age of 83 at her home in Zurich, Switzerland, following a “long illness”.

Reacting to the news, Beyoncé wrote on her website, “My beloved queen. I love you infinitely. I am so grateful for your inspiration and all the avenues you opened. You are strength and resilience. You are the embodiment of power and passion. We are all lucky to have witnessed your kindness and your beautiful spirit which will remain forever etched in our memories. Thank you for everything you have done.”

Diana Ross told her Twitter followers she was “shocked” and “saddened” by Tina Turner’s death. “I send my condolences to the family and loved ones of Tina Turner,” she added.

Elton John shared a photo of himself and the singer on Instagram with these words: “We have lost one of the most exciting and electric artists in the world. A true legend on record and on stage. She was untouchable.”
